Come on, Graduation! Let’s Get Happening!

Hi! I forgot to post about here yesterday because I was so exhausted with what happened. Yesterday was my Graduation Toga Picture photoshoot at Relans. I was so nervous because I might look ugly af in the picture but thank the Universe, they would allow us to make changes after 1 week of processing the pictures.

I was so excited because I have waited for this day to arrive because I could finally wear a college graduation toga and I could finally strut my stuff and release my inner fabulous self.

I had to take the Formal category first in the photoshoot so I donned my blue and black long sleeve, which reminds me so much of the midnight sky and that’s why I wore it. I love the color so much. I picked a red neck tie because I like a little bit of highlight on such a dark suit. #FashionTips #IAmReliable

Of course my extra af self tried to take a bunch of good looking selfies but I only seem to have two good-looking ones because I am ugly without the right lighting 😂 My pores were also extra af so you know what a trash bag actually looks like.

After the formal photo, I went it for the toga picture. Yellow is the color of Accountancy in Graduation pictures, that’s why the hood is yellow. It also has a big medalion the size of a oreo cookie attached to the hood so they’ll know what school are you from.

My face is beat for the gods, my lips are tinted pink. I look so much better with make up on. 😁 #YouAreBornNaked #AndTheRestIsDrag

Так Красиво: An Analytical Review

It’s Thursday today! This means I get to talk bout anything I want, because it’s my blog and not yours! HAHAHAHA!

For today’s entry, I wanna talk about Sergey Lazarev’s first song released related to his album «Осень Лазарев» which means “The Autumn of Lazarev”. At first, I was a little worried that my favorite Russian idol is going to retire, but news have confirmed that he is not yet retiring and is going to be launching more tours in the future. I still have a chance to see his show live!

Let’s talk about is first song on the album, Так Красиво.

The song means “So Beautiful”. It talks about Love in general. Sergey keeps repeating “Your love is so beautiful”, hence the title.

Review:

I like the aesthetics of the whole video. I like how the colors were toned done into grey and only the actors and Sergey himself are in full color. To me, it signifies that people who love lead colorful lives and also share their colors with other people.

The video then progresses into hands, and showing different types of couples.

I love how concise and straightforward the music video is in getting the message through.It just says Love is beautiful, whatever forms it may take in; may it be a straight couple; gay couple; couple with a disability; tattooed couple; a couple coming from different races; young couple; old couple; and even a family.

This is such a bold move to make, especially knowing that Russia is a conservative country and still a little bit touchy about the subject of same-sex relationships. This is what I admire and love about Sergey Lazarev. He doesn’t care whatever his critics say. He just keeps on making beautiful and timeless music which expresses his passion for sharing his aesthetic to the world, and contributing great things to the Russian music industry.

Overall, I love the tune of the music, even though I still get confused by lots of repeating lyrics. I am still learning the ropes in reading, writing, and understanding Russian but I’ll get by this song in  few days. Sergey keeps insisting that this song was a flop, but when the music video came out, people who disliked the song at first liked it. It was such a great discovery because I have a friend who told me this was such a bad song and when the music video came out, he swooned over the song and told me it is beautiful. HI KENNETH! #SHADE

I am just going to say it out there that I created this site out of a coffee-powered-mixed-with-some-weird-Filipino-energy-drink pure impulse at 2 AM in the morning. I realized that if I could take myself being a trash bag in both Facebook and Twitter, then I could certainly say that I can, and will be taking it further here on WordPress! Yay!

I know that I put in my About that I’ll only talk about Sergey Lazarev, Eurovision, and Rants, but let’s not follow the format and break rules! Yay for breaking rules you made, self!

As a celebratory gift, I am going to tell you a little bit about myself if my About is not enough for y’all nosy ass bitches.

I am Gen, 20 years old, Filipino. I recently finished College taking up Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (a post would be dedicated for this). I always describe myself as that trashy kid that everyone hates but they still tolerate.

I have a huge fascination with Russia.

My fave music genre is basically anything that comes out of Eurovision. I’m a simple guy. I see Eurovision, I hit that like button, subscribe and share that shit on my timeline.

I also SUPER STAN Sergey Lazarev. I love his face, I love his body, I love his vocal range, I love his music, I love his albums. I actually learned Russian myself just to understand what he is saying in his videos, in his posts, and in his songs. I have like hundreds and thousands of his songs on my drive.

I have a sassy and mean attitude. New people I meet always get intimidated by my personality and I think they have the right to do that and they deserved it (Just kidding). All jokes aside, I might come off as that, but I also try hard to be a nice person, just with a little bit of shade on the side. I can’t resist drama.
